ARTICLE'S CHARACTERISTIC

Correcting splint for hand and forearm is made of polyurethane foam, which is two-sidedly coated with self-adhesive lining fabric.
In addition, splint's interior (which touches skin) was coated with special material, which has spatial and perforated structure and ventilating attributes therefore skin remains dry.
The device is equipped with orthopedic plastic splint anatomically adjusted to arm's shape, made form alloy of aluminum and coated with special foam.

The splint has two wide girdles to support wrist forearm. They are equipped with VELCRO stickers therefore it is possible to regulate them fluently. Wrist splint assures excellent immobilization of forearm and wrist as well as stabilization of hand and thumb.

PURPOSE:
Should be applied in cases of:
  • dislocation of carpal joint,
  • fractures of metacarpus,
  • damages of tendon and tendonitis,
  • contractions of carpal joint,
  • severe pain of wrist,
  • severe or chronic osteitis of wrist or metacarpus,
  • operations (orthopedic),
  • neurological illnesses of central or peripheral origin.

CONTRAINDICATION:
Should not be applied in cases of:
  • fresh wounds
  • attritions of skin
  • skin eczemas
  • skin allergies
  • varicosity
  • ulceration of shin

USAGE:
Rehabilitation, orthopaedics, neurology, neurosurgery, rheumatology.

HOW TO PUT IT ON:

INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS:
  1. It should be applied in compliance with indications and under doctor's supervision.
  2. For the first time should be established by doctor or by trained medical staff.
  3. Orthosis should not be used if any ointment or warming up gel had been applied earlier.
  4. It is recommended to use the article together with stocking or antivaricose knee-length socks of minimum compression.
  5. Inappropriate use of article or choosing wrong size can bring about a defect of venous and arterial circulation, trauma of protected joint, skin illnesses etc.
  6. Lack of everyday personal hygiene or inappropriate preservation and washing the article can cause skin attritions or can bring about allergic reactions connected with intensive perspiration and development of bacterial flora.
HOW TO PUT IT ON - SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM:

MAINTENANCE:
  1. Hand-wash in warm water and soap in 30 deg. temperature
  2. Do not iron
  3. Do not use chlorine
  4. Dry far from the sources of heat
UWAGA: Przed praniem należy wymontować szynę ortopedyczną.

MATERIALS:
Dzianina , pianka poliuretanowa, taśma VELCRO, klamerki poliamidowe, szyna ortopedyczna.
